McIntosh’s newest tube preamplifier…
McIntosh have refreshed their C2X00 line with the C2700. The current line has been around since 2002, starting as the C2200, McIntosh’s first tube preamplifier since the C22.
Over the years, there have been several refreshers working to refine the circuitry and adding new features such as balanced inputs and outputs, as well as digital connectivity.
Main improvements
McIntosh have featured their new DA2 module – a removable and hence upgradeable digital to analogue converter (DAC), enabling easy connectivity to digital sources such as computers, tablets, streamers, CD players and now AV components through HDMI ARC.
The McIntosh C2700 also features 3 sets of balanced and single ended outputs, 3 sets of balanced inputs, 4 sets of RCA inputs as well as their DA module’s 2x coax, 2x optical, USB, MCT (for CD transports) and HDMI ARC.
Here’s a digital copy of the brochure, but for any other questions please get in contact with your nearest McIntosh dealer.
