My Banana Plugs Won’t Fit!

Don’t forget to unplug!
How to remove speaker terminal spacers on new amplifiers.
A lot of modern amplifiers are shipped with spacers in their speaker output terminals.
To the untrained eye, these small spacers or ‘plugs’ look like part of the output terminal.
However, these should be removed to correctly use conventional banana plugs.
These are easy enough to remove. Simply pull them out using a finely manicured finger nail, or insert a wood screw as pictured.
Once you have removed them all, you are ready to plug in your speaker cables.
