Yamaha have just announced the imminent arrival of the first of their new family of theater receivers. The two exciting entry level models are expected to arrive first: The RX-A660 and RX-A760. We should be seeing the first new models in 2-3 Weeks.

The RX-A660 is a completely new model and looks to be quite unique. It’s a 7.2 channel receiver but has the ability for a Zone B. This allows the same source to be played to a second set of speakers with completely independent volume control.

New Yamaha RX-A760
The RX-A760 is the replacement for the venerable RX-A750. It should be a big improvement in sound quality for most users with a far more advanced DSP chip being added to the product. This also has the pleasant side effect of meaning the RX-A760 now supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Decoding.
