Yamaha MusicCast Products Get Amazon Music
Late last year Yamaha announced it was adding Amazon Music to the list of streaming services that its MusicCast products support. From October, compatible MusicCast products, including wireless speakers, soundbars and one of their wireless turntables received a free firmware update which enabled this service. Yamaha’s MusicCast allows both access and playback of online streaming services on single or multiple MusicCast throughout your home.
Once installed, the update will let you control streaming tunes playing on a compatible Yamaha audio device by asking Alexa on one of your Echo devices.
Among the Yamaha products slated to receive the update are the MusicCast 20 and 50 wireless speakers, MusicCast YAS-408 soundbar, a bunch of AV receiver (includnig the RX-Ax80 series, the RX-Vx85 series, the RX-S602 and the CX-A5200 AV premap/processor), the XDA-QS5400 MusicCast Multi-Room Streaming Amplifier, and the MusicCast Vinyl 500 turntable.
The Alexa Enhanced Voice Control update is expected to arrive soon, so keep an eye out in your MusicCast app for the upcoming firmware update!
